Kevin Johnson scored 13 points, Octavius Ellis had 10 points and a season-high 14 rebounds and Cincinnati used a balanced attack to beat Central Florida 69-51 Tuesday night.

Cincinnati went on a 13-0 run, highlighted by a put-back dunk by Coreontae DeBerry, to take a 60-40 lead as UCF went scoreless for nearly six minutes. Johnson and Jacob Evans each made 3-pointers during the spree.

Farad Cobb added 12 points for Cincinnati (18-7, 8-4 American) while Gary Clark had 11 points, eight boards and five assists.

Matt Williams led Central Florida (11-11, 5-6) with 24 points and six 3-pointers. A.J. Davis added three 3s and 16 points for the Knights, who were outrebounded 43-30 _ 16-4 on the offensive glass.

Williams made four 3-pointers in the first half and scored 18 points but UCF still trailed 31-30. Cincinnati shot just 29 percent from the field but six of its 10 makes were from 3-point range.
