The Bay Area's best freshman pitcher continued her breakout season for Plant City, as Ashley Blessin led the Raiders to a 4-0 win over Plant with her third straight shutout, and seventh this season.

Blessin (18-1) has now allowed one earned run in her last 31 innings and has yet to allow a run in 21 postseason innings, including last week's district tournament.  She struck out six Panthers batters and allowed just four hits, while not allowing a base runner past second base.

Senior Lexi Williams provided the offense early, with two-out RBI singles in the bottom of the 1st and the 3rd.  Leadoff hitter Rebecca Sorenson scored the game's first run and then added insurance runs with a 2-run single in the 4th inning.

The Raiders reach the Region Semifinals for the fourth straight season, and will face district rival Riverview for the fourth time this season next week.  Plant City (24-2) has won each of the three previous meetings, by scores of 8-0, 3-2 and 2-0.
