Aspiring football players will have a chance to take their game to the next level under the guidance of USF Head Coach Willie Taggart and the Bulls’ coaching staff during eight USF Football Camp opportunities in June and July.

Among those camps will be the return of a joint camp with the University of Michigan and Head Coach Jim Harbaugh on June 4 on the USF campus. The “Day in the Bay One Day Camp,” which drew nearly 500 participants in 2015, will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Frank Morsani Football Practice Complex and feature the coaching staffs of both the Bulls and the Wolverines led by longtime friends Taggart and Harbaugh.

Along with conducting four other camps for various ages and skill levels at the Morsani Complex on the USF campus, the Bulls will conduct three satellite camps at off-campus locations in Fort Myers (June 5), Jacksonville (June 10) and Miami (June 11). All camp information and registration forms can be accessed at www.usffootballcamps.com.

The USF Football Camp summer slate starts June 4 on campus with the Day in the Bay One Day Camp, which is open to high school students entering grades 9-12. Instruction will be provided to all position groups by the USF coaching staff and the University of Michigan staff.

June 4 will also feature the Specialist Camp in the afternoon from 2-6 p.m. on the USF campus. That camp is open to kickers, punters and long snappers that want to pick up valuable tips from members of the Bulls coaching staff.

The Junior Bulls Camp is set for June 13-17 and is open to students entering grades 1-8 that want to learn the basic fundamentals of football. Head Coach Willie Taggart and his staff will teach campers proper fundamentals with an emphasis on making football a fun experience.

The Sling and Shoot Camp, which is the largest 7-on-7 passing tournament in the Southeast, will be held June 16-17 at USF. Teams are placed in brackets and will play games in a Round Robin format to determine seeding for a single-elimination playoff. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of eight games.

The Big Man Camp, designed for offensive and defensive linemen in grades 9-12, will also take place July 16-17 with four sessions on fundamentals and technique work taught by the USF coaching staff.

The USF coaching staff will hit the road to three different locations for USF Satellite Camps taking place at North Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers (June 5), William Sheffield Regional Park in Jacksonville (June 10) and a park to be determined in Miami (June 11). USF Satellite Camps are for boys entering grades 9-12 and participants will take part in on-field practice sessions, agility drills and position specific drills.
