The Tampa Bay Lightning is in Brooklyn trying to do, at least, what the Islanders did to them in the first two games of the second round.

"They came down here probably saying if 'we can split- it’s all good for us,'" said Lightning head coach Jon Cooper.  "We’re probably a little disappointed that we split, but if you’re looking at us after losing Game 1- we’re sitting here saying we have to have Game 2 and we got it. Now the pressure’s on us to go up there and win one in Barclays (Barclays Center).”

A win in Game 3 Tuesday night and the Bolts can take their first lead of the series with New York.

"We gotta play the same way," said Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman.  "We can’t change the way we play going into their barn."

The Bolts played their one and only game at the Barclays Center, a 5-2 loss, on April 4th.  (That day Steven Stamkos underwent blood clot surgery.)  Having attended Hofstra University, Cooper is familiar with both arenas the Islanders have called home.

"It's the luxury arena (Barclays) versus the enclosed intimate rowdy scene, that I guess the Nassau Coliseum was," said Cooper.

"Ultimately the fans are pretty much the same. They still do there chants, they still do their goal celebrations, they still get into it. It's New York and they're passionate fans up there. Going through the experience last year at the Garden (Madison Square Garden) it was unreal and I don't expect any of that to change just because you're going across a bridge."

Jonathan Drouin was not with the team when they played in Brooklyn in April.  He wouldn't be recalled from Syracuse for three more days.  His trade drama is well documented, but the Islanders know him for his talent.  He scored his first career playoff goal in Game 2.  He is third on Tampa Bay in playoff points (behind Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov), and tied for first with six assists.

"He is slippery," said Cooper.  "It’s like, you ever go fishing and you grab the fish with a bare hand, that’s what he’s like out there.  He’s hard to defend.  He is so shifty, crafty and skilled.”

Like a season veteran Drouin credits the guys in the dressing room, making it seem like his season saga never happened at all.

"Really comfortable," Johnathan Drouin said about being with the Bolts.  "I owe it all to these guys making me comfortable since I’ve been back.  Every game that goes on it’s better and better."

Whether he's on a line with Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov or Alex Killorn and Valtteri Filppula, Drouin can create and that is key.

"We’re trying to find secondary scoring and that’s what we’re going to need if we have any chance moving on in this series," said Cooper.
