Indoor soccer returns to Lakeland, FL for the first time since 1983. The inaugural season for the Florida Tropics Soccer Club, the newest member of the recently formed Indoor Pro League, kicks off in November.  Although the team is new to the area, the Tropics have many ties to the region.

Tropics Head Coach Clay Roberts is a Lakeland native, who is also the current head coach for the Southeastern University fire.  As well, Tropics Midfielder Anthony Arico played soccer at Eckerd College.  Arico, who is also a Midfielder and Defender for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, is excited to be part of the growing soccer scene and wants to help the Tropics win their first title in their first season.
