The 15 goals Orlando City has scored so far this season is the most in the Eastern Conference and tied for second in the entire MLS. So while offense hasn't been a problem all year long it’s the defense that could use some work, as it’s one of the reasons Orlando City is sitting in fourth in the playoff standings.

"We’ve got to give that back four a little bit better protection, and that’s going back to what we’ve been working on this week," said head coach Adrian Heath. "That’s one of the issues that we’ve been having, we feel as though the five or six in front of the back four have to get in better spots and positions to actually corral one or two threats that might come our way"

"Communication and for all of us to be on the same page," said midfielder Kevin Molino. "This is why we’re out here this morning, to work on it and look forward to the game against the New York Red Bulls and work on the defense and hopefully everything will work on Friday."

While the team searches for ways to improve the defense Coach Heath doesn’t plan on changing the starting lineup to fix things. But a change in mentality might help.

"Lack of concentration, we are vulnerable as soon as we score, we could receive a goal," said Molino.
