Defending state champs Lakeland Christian are back in the title game.
The Vikings defeated John Carroll 3-0 in the 3A state semifinals to advance to the championship game.
The Vikings took a 2-0 lead in the first with Emily McKinney's RBI double. McKinney would later score on an error to make it 3-0.
Amy Burton's RBI double to left field in the bottom of the third made it 3-0 and that was enough.
University Christian advanced to the title game with a 4-2 win over Admiral Farragut.
Down 2-0 in the fourth, Admiral Farragut's Corynn Miner's solo home run cut that lead to one in the fourth inning. The Blue Jackets tied it up with Johonelle Young's RBI single.
University Christian would regain the lead in the bottom of the fifth with an inside the park home run. The Fightin' Christians increased the lead to 4-2 later in the fifth and then held on for the win.
That was enough to send University Christian to the 3A title game. The Fightin' Christians will play Lakeland Christian for the title LIVE on BHSN at 8 p.m. (Channel 47/HD 1147).
