A search is ongoing in the Dover area of Hillsborough County for a hit-and-run driver that killed a 13-year-old boy.

• Driver drove off, according to FHP
• Troopers said vehicle may be Ford F-250 pick-up truck

Investigators said they have a piece of evidence from a Ford F-250 pick-up truck that struck and killed Jesus Navarro Sunday morning. 

Navarro was walking on State Road 574 when he was struck by the vehicle that left the scene. 

The Florida Highway Patrol recovered a F-250 decal at the scene of the crash. Troopers also said the truck will have front-end damage. 

Navarro was a Turkey Ceek Middle School students. Grief counselors have been on hand at the school this week.
