POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- A fatal traffic crash involving a single vehicle shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 60 at Hadden Road, east of Bartow, for several hours.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to the Friday morning crash, which happened at about 6 a.m.

A 2016 Hino commercial flatbed truck was hauling metal building supplies when it drifted onto the grass median, according to a witness.

The driver appeared to over-correct and rolled over on its roof. The cab of the vehicle collapsed, pinning the driver.

The name of the crash victim has not been identified pending next of kin notification.
