HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found Monday morning at the Alafia River.
- Body of 41-year-old Brent Davis found
- Two others were ejected from boat
- FWC still investigating what happened
Brent Davis, 41, was located after rescue crews searched for several hours.
At around 1:30 a.m., the FWC received a call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office about a boating incident near the U.S. 41 bridge, close to the Williams Park Boat Ramp on the Alafia River, according to Melody Kilborn, the public information coordinator with the FWC.
The FWC said a 16-foot counsel boat hit a bridge.
Steven Cannon, 33, and Carson Cannon, 12, were also ejected from the boat, according to officials
The 12-year-old was treated at Tampa General Hospital.
FWC said it's unknown if the three were wearing lifejackets.
