TAMPA, Fla. – A man was killed and a woman was injured in a boat crash in Tampa on Sunday, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The crash happened in the area of Channel Drive and Cayuga Avenue, near Davis Islands.
A witness told investigators that the two people ended up the water after their boat struck a piling.
Tampa Police received a call about the crash at about 5:15 p.m. Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the scene a short time later at about 5:23 p.m.
The woman was found on rocks along the shore, according to FWC. She was transported to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.
Divers later pulled the man from the water and transported him to Tampa General, where he was pronounced dead.
The identities of the two people have not yet been released.
No other details were immediately available.
