SPRING HILL, Fla. -- Deputies are investigating an early Tuesday shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office responded just before 9 a.m. to the 5100 block of Alliance Avenue in Spring Hill regarding a person shot.
The shooting victim went to a neighbor's house, asked for help and the neighbor called 911.
Hernando County Fire and Rescue responded and took the victim to a local trauma center. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
