TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa police are investigating a shooting outside a nightclub near 40th Street and E. River Grove Drive. 

The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. One person received non-life threatening injuries, police said. 

Traffic has been closed in the area while police investigate. N 40th Street at River Grove Driver is closed to northbound 40th Street traffic and southbound 40th Street traffic is closed at E. Norfolk. 

Police have not released any more details on the shooting at this time.
