Monday brings partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. It will be breezy with east winds. The morning will be comfortable, but the afternoon will bring above-normal temperatures and a slight uptick in the dew points. Moisture builds overhead, so the coverage of rain will increase. Scattered showers and some storms will move west across the state in the afternoon to early evening.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the humidity will move up. Showers and storms may start earlier in the day. With a tropical system in the Central Gulf, rain chances will be higher. It will be breezy.
TS Michael is expected to move north through the Gulf and make landfall along the northeast Gulf Coast possibly as a hurricane. Rain chances for us will be high Tuesday through Thursday, especially closer to the Gulf coast.
Through the work week, rain chances will stay elevated. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s. Lows will be in the upper 70s. It will be humid, mostly cloudy and breezy, with higher winds expected for the coastal areas and over the Gulf. Some higher than normal tides will be possible Wednesday through Friday, and there will be a risk of rip currents. Coastal flooding is possible, especially Wednesday and Thursday.
