ORLANDO, Fla. — One person was hospitalized after an incident at Lake Eola's Holiday Drone Show on Saturday, according to the Orlando Fire Department.

Video of the drone show appeared to show technical issues with the drones, with some seeming to fall from the sky.

The incident happened during the 6:30 p.m. drone show.

City of Orlando officials said the Holiday Drone Show was a permitted event through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The event is in its third year, but officials said this was the second year using the vendor, Sky Elements, to operate the drones.

Another show was scheduled for 8 p.m., but it was canceled.

The FAA is now investigating.

"Our thoughts are with the family and all those impacted by the outcome of this event," city officials said in a statement. "The city remains in contact with the vendor and FAA, who will conduct a thorough investigation."

Officials also said Orlando Police detectives will be assisting the FAA in gathering evidence.
