Brian joined the Bay News 9 team as a multimedia journalist in January 2023. He became a journalist because he loves connecting with people and giving them a platform to share their stories.
He was born and raised in Massachusetts, began his journalism career at a young age when he started his elementary school’s first ever newspaper.
Brian is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina where he got his degree in Journalism and was part of the award-winning, student-run news organization Elon News Network.
Before joining the Spectrum News team, Brian worked in Savannah, Georgia, where he was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. While in the Coastal Empire, Brian covered the state murder and federal hate crimes trial for the killing of Ahmaud Arbery. He also covered local government, the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental issues, and human-interest stories.
Brian is thrilled to now call Tampa home and is always on the hunt for the best spots to get tacos or coffee. When Brian is not at work, he is likely at the beach, spinning vinyl, or playing with his rescue dog, Georgie.
