  • RAYS BID FOR TWO IN A ROW: The Tampa Bay Rays, coming off a dramatic walk-off win last night against the Chicago Cubs, seek their second win in a row tonight in Game 2 of their series at Tropicana Field. Aaron Civale gets the start for Tampa Bay, with first pitch at 6:50 p.m.
  • TAMPA TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning tonight from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m., all travel lanes on SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) over I-75 will close between Falkenburg Road and Williams Road, weather permitting. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and are reminded to remain alert for construction workers.   • SUMMER ADOPT-A-THON: SPCA Tampa Bay is discounting adoption fees on all animals during their Summer Adopt-A-Thon. Dogs and cats can be adopted at half their normal fee, while small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and reptiles are available to adopt in pairs for the fee of one. Adoptions are Wednesday through Sunday, closed every Monday and Tuesday.
