Tampa City Council member Gwendolyn Henderson, who represented District 5, has died, the city of Tampa confirmed today. She was 60 years old.

  • TAMPA LANE CLOSURE | The outside southbound lane on South 20th Street is now closed between Linsey Street and Gordon Street while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. See all road closures on the city of Tampa's website.

  • RAYS VS. RED SOX: GAME 2 | The Tampa Bay Rays gear up for game 2 against the Boston Red Sox after taking the a 10-8 win on Monday. Junior Caminero leads the Rays with 30 extra base hits (15 doubles and 15 home runs). Yandy Diaz is 14 for 40 with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI over the past 10 games. First pitch is tonight at 7:10 p.m.

  • Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) arrives and docks with the International Space Station. The mission, launched 10 Jun, carries Axiom Space Human Spaceflight Director and Ax-4 mission commander Peggy Whitson, ISRO astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, Polish astronaut Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski, and Hungarian astronaut Tibor Kapu to the ISS for up to a 14-day mission.
  • Nominees announced for Critics Choice Super Awards for superhero, sci-fi and horror TV and films
  • Annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity - annual game which sees Democrats Face Republicans, with funds raised going to charities including The Washington Literacy Center, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Washington Nationals Philanthropies, and the U.S. Capitol Police Memorial Fund
