  • TRAFFIC NOTES: Nebraska Avenue is still closed in both directions between Palm Avenue and Columbus Drive in Tampa. The closure is expected to last through the weekend. Detour signs are in place. FDOT says the closure is for drainage work. Looking ahead to Wednesday night, the Howard Frankland Bridge will close for traffic heading into tampa from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday. Traffic will be detoured off at Gandy Boulevard.
  • POLK COUNTY PARK REOPENS: Soccer fields at Simmers-Young Park will be open again starting tomorrow morning. The park was closed after Hurricane Milton caused damage. A grand reopening is set for 9 a.m. tomorrow with five new soccer fields, better concession stands and more. The address is 339 American Spirit Road, Winter Haven.
  • RAYS AT METS: The Tampa Bay Rays begin a three-game series tonight at Citi Field against the New York Mets. Tonight's game is the first time these teams square off this season. Taj Bradley will get the start for Tampa, with first pitch at 7:10 p.m.
