1. FDOT, FHP address increase in crashes on new Howard Frankland Bridge
Since the new span of the Howard Frankland Bridge opened in March, there has been an uptick of crashes where the bridge starts in Tampa.
2. St. Petersburg begins process of removing fluoride from public drinking water to comply with statewide ban
Effective July 1, all local governments are banned from adding fluoride to public water supplies.
3. Viewing, funeral set for Gwendolyn Henderson
The community will say final goodbyes this week to Gwendolyn Henderson, the Tampa City Council member who died last week.
4. Prosecutors: Suspect in shooting of two Minnesota state lawmakers planned to target 2 others
The man accused of killing a Minnesota lawmaker and wounding another went to the homes of two other legislators on the night of the shootings, intending to inflict more carnage against those on his hitlist, a federal prosecutor said today.
5. Bay area mobile home park residents push back against mass eviction
Still reeling from the aftermath of back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton, Pines Trailer Park residents are now battling a new storm — a legal one — as eviction notices appear on their doors.
6. ULA delays launch of 2nd batch of Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellites
United Launch Alliance today delayed plans to send its second batch of Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellites into space.
7. Disney World announces reopening date for Test Track
Disney World announced today that Test Track will reopen next month after being closed for refurbishment. Attractions Insider has the details.

- TRAFFIC NOTES: Delays continue on State Road 60 in Plant City due to road work. It is the stretch from State Road 39 to Clarence Gordon Road. Crews are working on an improvement project that is expected to last for four weeks. Looking ahead to Wednesday night, the Howard Frankland Bridge will for traffic heading into Tampa. Traffic in St. Pete will be detoured at Gandy Road. It is from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday.
- GAS PRICES: Florida gas prices are the lowest in a month, according to AAA. Sunday's state average was $2.95 per gallon. That's down 14 cents from a week ago and the lowest since May 12 ($2.92). Find the cheapest gas prices in the Bay area.
- RAYS RETURN HOME: The Tampa Bay Rays, who swept a three-game series in New York against the Mets over the weekend, are back at Steinbrenner Field tonight to start a seven-game homestand. First up, the Baltimore Orioles in a four-game set. Ryan Pepiot gets the start for Tampa Bay, which has climbed to second place in the AL East behind the New York Yankees. First pitch tonight is at 7:35 p.m.

A St. Petersburg woman is leading an effort to get hundreds of one-of-a-kind blankets to people in need when cold weather hits. That involves getting hundreds of people to crochet blankets.
