Sandbags available in the Bay area: 

Sandbags will be available to Tampa residents at three locations. Bobby Hicks Pool, Barksdale Active Adult Center and Jackson Heights Playground. 

Hours of operation will be:

Daily: 9am- 7pm *until further notice 

Tampa Residents may pick-up sandbags at the following locations:

Bobby Hicks Pool

4201 W. Mango Ave.

Barksdale Active Adult Center @ MacFarlane Park 

1801 N. Lincoln Ave. 

Jackson Heights Community Center

3310 E. Lake Avenue 

Tampa residents interested in receiving sandbags must show identification verifying residence within the city limits. A valid driver's license, utility bill, or electric bill will serve as appropriate identification.  There is a ten bag limit. 

In addition, the City of Tampa requests that residents with a storm drain on their property check to ensure that the drain is clear of all debris including leaves and trash.

Residents should report flooding issues by calling (813) 274-3101.  

Hillsborough County

Sandbags will be available at these units until 7 p.m. today.

  • South Service Unit -  8718 Old Big Bend Road in Gibsonton
  • East Service Unit - 4702 Sydney Road in Plant City

Pinellas County 

 

St. Petersburg

Tarpon Springs 

Due to the current weather event in the Gulf, the City of Tarpon Springs will be activating our three (3) usual Sandbag locations today. They will be in place until further notice & maintained as necessary.

  • Splash Park (Live Oak Street between Alt 19 and US 19)
  • Sponge Docks (West End at Roosevelt Blvd)
  • Dorsett Park (E. Harrison Street)
  • They will be open by 8:30 a.m. this morning.

Pinellas Park

Sandbags Available for Pinellas Park Residents

Residents can get up to 10 sandbags until 6:00 pm today.

Residents must show a water bill or valid driver's license indicating they are a resident of Pinellas Park in order to receive their sandbags. Pick up location and times are below:

Where: Public Works Facilities Building, 6151 78th Ave N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781

When: July 31 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Pinellas Emergency Management has also made sandbags available for citizens in unincorporated Pinellas County at the following locations:

  • John Chesnut Park, 2200 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor
  • John S. Taylor Park, 1100 Eighth Ave. SW, Largo
  • Lealman Community Park, 3890 55th Ave. N., St. Petersburg
