- SUV failed to stop at red light
- Speed, alcohol are factors, deputies say
A father and son were killed when a Chevrolet SUV failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Park Blvd. and 104th Lane and struck the back of their Lexus.
The impact caused both vehicles to travel into the eastbound lanes of Park Blvd., striking two other vehicles.
The occupants of the Lexus, Edward Delzer, 49, and his father Harvey Delzer, 86, were pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the SUV, James Wolf, 60, was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with non-life threatening injuries.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Investigators said speed and alcohol are factors in the crash and charges are pending against Wolf.
The investigation remains ongoing.
