TAMPA, Fla. — Two people are dead after a shooting Thursday morning in West Tampa.

According to Tampa Police, multiple gunshots were heard just after 7 a.m. near the 1700 block of west Walnut Street.
Officers found two adult victims with gunshot wounds. Police said an adult male was killed and an adult female was rushed to a Tampa hospital in serious condition. She later died from her injuries.
No further information has been released about the victims or any suspects. Police said it is early in this investigation and information is still being gathered.
