TAMPA, Fla. — Cold weather shelters are remaing open an additional day in parts of the Bay area.
Hillsborough County and Citrus County have announced their cold weather shelters will be open Wednesday night. Here are the details:
Hillsborough County
Hillsborough County officials stated that cold weather shelters program will be open on Tuesday night for the homeless and those who live in homes without adequate heat who are unable to find other accommodations.
The following shelters will accept guests from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. unless capacity is reached prior to that time.

Officials with Hillsborough County said that Metropolitan Ministries is supplying a limited number of single-night motel vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis for families with minor children, and that all congregate shelters are reserved for adults only. Pre-registration is required by calling the numbers below. Phone lines turn on at 9 a.m., and the deadline to call is 5 p.m. Families with minor children should call (813) 209-1176.
Citrus County Cold Weather Shelter
Citrus County government does not operate its own cold weather shelter but one that is operated by the Family Resource Center will be open through Wednesday night from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Hernando County
Hernando County officials said that Jericho Road Ministries will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday.
