TAMPA, Fla. — Multiple water companies in Tampa Bay were impacted by Hurricane Milton's landfall.

Tampa Bay Water

The regional water supply system has recovered power in most major facilities and Tampa Bay Water is meeting regional water needs at the quantities and pressures requested from our member utilities. Some facilities are still offline so residents should use the water they need but do not waste water.

Hillsborough County Water Resources

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for some customers in the Seffner/North Brandon area of Hillsborough County Water Resources Department's South Central drinking water system.

A water main break has caused the water distribution system's pressure to fall below the required regulatory level. Customers are advised to boil all tap water used for cooking, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.

Tampa Water Department

Department officials said that staff members are working to make any necessary repairs to water main breaks caused by storm damage.

Customers will be notified if crews need to shut down their service to repair a nearby water main break. If that does occur, customers are urged to follow any precautionary boil water notices that they may receive, officials said.
