A 21-year-old man who was known as a local rapper was found dead overnight in an east Tampa parking lot.
Sergio Gabriel Alexander Smith was found face down in the parking lot of the Avesta Apartments on E. 131st Avenue just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies have not identified a suspect, and it is not clear if anyone witnessed the shooting.
Although motivation for the shooting hasn't officially been determined, family tells Bay News 9 detectives think Smith may have been a robbery victim.
