BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Hernando County commissioners will hold a town hall Wednesday night to discuss FEMA rules and flooding issues caused by Hurricane Milton.

The board will go over FEMA's rules for substantial damage and improvements, which includes FEMA's 50-percent rule.

The town hall will also feature a discussion with Southwest Florida Water Management (SWFTMUD) regarding the flooding from Milton that impacted the Ridge Manor community.

Flood waters continued to swamp the area as recently as mid-November.

Officials will give an update on the flood level in that area from the Withlacoochee River.

Tonight's town hall starts at 6 p.m. at Eastside Elementary School, located at 15365 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.
