TAMPA — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the market for a new punter.

On Tuesday, the team released Trenton Gill.

The move came in the wake of his rough performance in Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.

Gill had a 22-yard punt, and also a short kickoff that led to a penalty. It's the second time this season the team has released a punter.

He appeared in eight games for the Bucs after spending the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Chicago Bears.

The Bucs host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
