We are about to experience the hottest air of the season so far, and may even reach our first 90-degree day this weekend. Plenty of sunshine gets us going in the right direction Saturday, although we'll mix in a few afternoon clouds. Highs soar into the upper 80s.

We'll start our Sunday off with more sun, watch some scattered clouds develop into the afternoon, then keep an eye on Klystron 13 as a line of strong storms rolls toward the area late in the evening hours. A strong to severe storm or two cannot be ruled out after 5 p.m. so make sure you have a way of getting alerted if watches or warnings are issued. Sunday's highs will be up around 90, then drop back into the lower to middle 70s on Monday.
