LOS ANGELES — The 2022 Power to the People! music festival at Walt Disney Concert Hall will feature a performance by organist Nathaniel Gumbs who is known for his diverse repertoire of spirituals, hymns and European classical works.

Organ builder/curator Manuel Rosales helped design and also maintains the concert hall’s iconic pipe organ, which is affectionately known as “Hurricane Mama.”

“Hurricane Mama” contains more than 6,000 individual pipes and every artist who has performed on it has signed it.
