ORLANDO, Fla. – A 14-year-old girl had a seizure on the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure during the Thanksgiving holiday, according to a state report released Friday.  A week later, at the same park, a 25-year-old woman had a seizure on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

The illnesses were among several listed on the quarterly report compiled by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The major theme parks in Florida self-report ride injuries and illnesses that lead to a hospital stay of at least 24 hours to remain exempt from state inspections.

Friday’s report includes injuries and illnesses for the fourth quarter of 2020—October through December.

At Disney World, an 86-year-old woman “tripped and fell” exiting Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and injured her head, arm and leg on October 28, according the report. And a 60-year-old woman “felt ill” after riding Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom on November 21.

SeaWorld reported three incidents for the quarter, with two happening at Aquatica Orlando. A 28-year-old man injured his back on the water park’s Whanau Way attraction on November 17. On November 23, a 44-year-old woman had difficulty breathing at the Cutback Cove, one of the park’s wave pools. At SeaWorld Orlando, a 65-year-old man injured his hip on the park’s Sea Carousel attraction on November 25, according to the report.

Legoland Florida and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay were the only theme parks that did not report any injuries or illnesses to the state.
