ORLANDO, Fla. — A new TV special gives coaster fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Universal Orlando's newest attraction, Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

“The Making of Jurassic World VelociCoaster,” now streaming on Peacock, is hosted by Mario Lopez and features interviews with various Universal creatives, including executive Mark Woodbury and project leads Shelby Honea and Greg Hall.
The 21-minute documentary provides glimpses into different parts of the three-year process to bring the coaster to life. The special includes construction footage, concept art and more.
VelociCoaster debuted at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in June and quickly became a fan favorite. The coaster, based on the popular Jurassic World film franchise, reaches speeds of 70 mph and features a number of twists and turns, including a barrel roll over the park’s lagoon.
