ORLANDO, Fla. — Gatorland was recently featured in a clue on “Jeopardy!”

The reference to the “Alligator Capital of the World” came during an episode of the game show last week.

“A bit confusingly, the first big attraction in the history of Florida’s Gatorland was Bonecrusher, a half-ton one of these,” host Ken Jennings said, reading the clue.

The first contestant to buzz in guessed, "What is an alligator?" That answer was incorrect, but the second contestant buzzed in with the correct one, "What is a crocodile?"

Gatorland Chief Executive Officer Mark McHugh — who is a big fan of "Jeopardy!" — was watching the episode Friday when the clue came up. He shared his reaction on the park's Facebook page.

The original Bonecrusher was brought to the park by founder Owen Godwin in the 1950s. At 15 feet long and 1,080 pounds, the crocodile was billed as the world's largest crocodile in a wildlife park. Gatorland is now home to Bonecrusher's son, who is named Bonescrusher.

In addition to alligators and crocodiles, Gatorland features wild cats, birds and animal shows.
