ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld’s Florida parks will soon switch to cashless operations, only accepting credit or debit cards and mobile payments, the company shared Friday.
What You Need To Know
- SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens will be switching to cashless operations starting August 30
- The change also applies to Aquatica Orlando and Adventure Island water parks
- Only card and mobile payments will be accepted; visitors with cash can convert money to prepaid Visa card at kiosks around the parks
SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island will go cashless starting Aug. 30. That will apply to payments made at restaurants, stores, ticket windows, parking and more.
In a post on its website, SeaWorld said cashless payments are “faster, more secure and convenient” for visitors.
If park visitors show up with only cash, no worries, SeaWorld says they will be able to convert their money to a prepaid Visa debit card at one of several Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout the parks at no charge.
The move to cashless operations has become common at many theme parks across the U.S., with some having adopted the practice as result of the pandemic. SeaWorld San Diego went cashless earlier this year. And Legoland Florida made the switch awhile ago.
