The Bills' next game against the San Francisco 49ers is now in limbo due to new COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County where the 49ers play, amid growing cases in California and nationwide.
The Bills were initially set to travel to Santa Clara County for a showdown with the 49ers on December 7th. However, the county’s public health department issued new guidelines Saturday banning any contact sports for three weeks.
The ban is set to go into effect on Monday, preventing the team from even practicing at Levi's Stadium.
A decision on the Bills 49ers game has yet to be determined.
The 49ers issued a statement Saturday, saying they’re working with the NFL on alternative plans and will share any details as they’re confirmed.
