ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It has been a long year for our local college students, and Saturday all of that comes to a conclusion for hundreds of college students who get to walk the stage and receive their diploma.
At Nazareth, three undergraduate ceremonies are happening Saturday at the Golisano Training Center on campus.
Both graduate ceremonies took place Friday.
Spectrum News caught up with a couple students earning their degrees, who spoke about some of the challenges they faced in their final year.
"I think that was the hardest part," Marilyn Buck said. "I'm not an online learner, so going from face-to-face to online was very difficult in the beginning for me. But having support from all of the professors actually made it easier and I learned a lot about myself in that time as well."
"Academically, it was some of my best learning because I had to overcome a bunch of challenges," said Meredith Rasey. "And I had to learn how I learn more intensely than I had previously."
Buck said the key is being flexible and working to overcome these challenging times together.
