Captain Tim Harris found his love for the ocean when he served in the United States Coast Guard, stationed at Sand Key. After retiring from service, he bought the Little Toot tugboat, fixed it up and began a new career that's now spanned almost 25 years.
“It's so much fun to be out in this environment,” Harris said. “Everybody is happy to be on the water and on vacation, and it's just great to show people the dolphins and wildlife in the area."
Harris and the other gifted and informative tour guides help passengers spot and learn about the Florida wildlife — and some multimillion-dollar homes, too — as they show off the sites from Clearwater Harbor to the Gulf of Mexico. They make it a blast to be out on the water, as well.
“We live in the best area, in my opinion, in all of the United States,” Harris said. “The west coast of Florida is just so beautiful, and we have some of the most playful dolphins."
Little Toot Dolphin Adventure Tours run daily and leave multiple times a day. You can also book private tours if you're looking for something even more unique. For more information, visit the company’s website.
