CLERMONT, Fla. — If you’re looking for a real off-roading adventure, consider visiting Clermont’s ATV Revolution.
The company prides itself on giving guests an experience different from Central Florida’s theme parks.
Visitors can sign up and take a guided tour on one of several types of vehicles that takes riders through their 200+ acres in Clermont.
The property includes flat trails, hills, lakes and woods.
You can choose several ways to ride the terrain that includes traditional ATVs, 4-wheelers or an 8-wheeled amphibious vehicle (Mucky Duck).
Lead guide Matthew Noonan enjoys taking his guests to experience something special.
“Just putting smiles on their faces. And making great memories for them,” said Noonan.
Noonan says one of the more popular tours is the “Mucky Ducks” where riders go from driving on land to steering the 8-wheeled tank-like vehicle into a lake.
“It’s a strange sensation. Just cruising on a lake and just forgetting about the rest of the world. It’s just awesome,” said Noonan.
Some describe the experience as valet ATV riding where everything is provided for you, and all you have to do is show up.
Clermont’s ATV Revolution provides all the necessary safety gear along with training to know how to operate the vehicles.
Noonan says you never know what you will see out in the middle of nowhere.
“People see deer for the first time, an alligator for the first time. Even turtles walking near the trails. And in this setting for the first time is gratifying,” he said.
The ATV experience for drivers 16 years old and up is $175 for a two-hour tour. For drivers ages 9 to 15, it’s $125.
Reservations are made online or by phone.
