Florida lawmakers in 2023 will consider a resolution to amend the state constitution to allow for partisan county school board races.

Panelists weigh the pros and cons of adding partisan primaries to school board races.

The resolution must be approved by the Florida Legislature this session and approved by at least 60% of the voters in 2024 before it can take effect.

If approved, school board races would be partisan starting with the November 2026 Primary.
