Florida State Representative (D-44) Geraldine Thompson tells people her constituents include “Mickey, Minnie, Shamu, Shaquille O’Neal, and now, Luke Skywalker.”

In her Know Your Electeds interview, Thomspon describes the future of her district, as well as the development of new rail systems. She also talks about founding the Wells’ Built Museum of African American History and Culture and how that inspired her to run for office.

Thompson has represented Florida’s 44^th House district since 2018. She enjoys jazz, but occasionally listens to rap after her children have used her car.
