In her Know Your Electeds interview, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, shares that she truly believes Tampa is the best city in the world. Castor considers Tampa to be a hidden gem among American cities because it is a big city with a small town feel. 

After serving Tampa as the Chief of Police, Castor decided to run for office to give back to the community she values so deeply.

Castor enjoys taking out-of-town visitors on boat rides down the river, especially at night when the city lights shine. If she wasn't in public service, she would be working in carpentry or landscaping.
