Florida's 116th District State Representative Daniel Perez is fond of the bipartisan camaraderie in the Florida State House. He describes his district as a Cuban community with amazing coffee and croquetas.

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Perez shares that he was inspired to run for office to create better support systems for people with intellectual and learning disabilities, such as his brother.

Perez's personal heroes are his grandparents, who emigrated from Cuba in 1969. His first job was as a transportation dispatcher.
