Florida's Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshall Jimmy Patronis was inspired to run for office after being involved in his family's community-oriented restaurant business. For him, earning the community's trust is essential to being effective in public service.

Patronis wishes more people were aware of how often severe weather and natural disasters can strike. One of the most rewarding parts of his job is helping people in need recover from natural disasters. 

Three words Patronis would use to describe Florida are "diverse, safe, and fun." In his spare time, he loves to woodwork and build furniture.
