Florida's 3rd District State Representative Dr. Joel Rudman was inspired to run for office because he noticed intersections between politics and medicine. The biggest lesson he's learned during his time in office is to approach each day as if it is his last as a legislator--he doesn't want to wait until tomorrow when he could get something done today.

Dr. Rudman would say his biggest accomplishment so far is passing a bill to protect physicians' freedom of speech. One thing he would say his district does better than anywhere else is grow peanuts; he would also say his district has the most beautiful beaches in Florida.

In three words, Dr. Rudman would describe his district as "rural, community-based, and beautiful."
