Firefighters struggled to get to a house fire in New Port Richey on Monday night because of high flood waters -- and an alligator between them and the home.
According to Pasco County Fire officials, a home burned on Stockman Dr., but firefighters were having trouble reaching the home when they first arrived around 9:30 p.m.
Officials said crews faced an alligator between themselves and the home when they first arrived, as well.
The street is badly flooded. No injuries have been reported.
