A woman whom detectives believe shot her estranged husband and his girlfriend Sunday in Lakeland has been arrested in Alabama, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

Aimee D. Streeter, 33, whose last known address is in Midland, Ala., was taken into custody Monday morning and is awaiting extradition to Polk County, authorities said. Streeter was taken into custody in Kinsey, Ala., just outside Dothan.

Detectives say Streeter, who has used the alias Aimee Steet, drove to Lakeland in a late-model Ford Expedition and shot Tabarri Clayton, 35, and Janice Lucas, 35, at their residence on the 600 block of Crescent Hills Place.

Detectives say Streeter parked her vehicle two blocks from the victims' home in the Crescent Hills subdivision. When Lucas got home from church, Streeter shot her five times.

Clayton came home afterward, and Streeter shot him, too, detectives said.

The victims were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where Lucas remains in critical condition and Clayton in stable condition. Both identified Streeter as the person who shot them, detectives said.

Authorities believe Streeter drove straight back to Alabama after the shootings.

According to Polk County Sheriff, the victims had a child together years ago but split up. Clayton married Streeter, and Lucas married a new man.

Lucas and the new man eventually divorced, and Clayton, who is seeking divorce from Streeter, moved to Lakeland to be with Lucas.
