Testimony continued Friday in the trial of a Citrus County woman accused of killing a woman during a carjacking.
According to the prosecution, Jennifer Marino killed Sue Haynie during a carjacking in the spring of 2010. Haynie took the stand in her own defense Thursday.
Investigators say Marino took Sue Haynie’s car outside of a pet grooming business in Inverness. Deputies say Haynie, 64, ran out to stop Marino but Marino, 34, pushed Haynie to the ground and ran her over when she took off. Haynie later died.
On Thursday, Marino, was emotional and confused at times while on the stand. Marino also talked about visions of angels and demons.
However, prosecutors say Marino still knew the difference between right and wrong when she killed Haynie.
