The fastest home broadband service ever built in Florida is on its way to the Tampa Bay area.
Bright House Networks and metro development group have announced plans for Florida’s first all gigabit communities.
Metro Development Group, based in Tampa, will build several new residential communities with a specially-designed fiber to the home network engineered and built by Bright House Networks.
The first model homes should open this spring. The new communities will feature homes pre-wired for super fast broadband service and high-speed Wi-fi available in clubhouses, playgrounds and nature trails.
“Bright House Networks is pleased to join Metro Development Group in this revolutionary project,” stated Nomi Bergman, President of Bright House Networks. “Bright House Networks has designed a fiber-to-the-home network solution for MDG because of the very specific applications the Developer has planned for its communities. We are confident both Bright House and MDG can provide superior products and services now and into the future.”
Bright House Networks is the parent company of Tampa Bay's Bay News 9 and central Florida's News 13.
