The man convicted of shooting and killing two Tampa police officers wants more jailhouse privileges.

The attorney for Dontae Morris filed paperwork in court this week, saying his client doesn't get the same privileges as other prisoners.

He said Morris doesn't get as many visitation hours or any phone calls.

He's also been in a single cell and isolated from other prisoners since his arrest in the summer of 2010.

Morris is scheduled to be sentenced May 30 for the killings of Tampa police officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

Morris already is serving a life sentence for a separate murder.
