Winter Haven Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man they say has been breaking into vending machines throughout Polk County.
Police say Anthony Salvatore Gonzalez, 41, has been seen on video surveillance entering side entrances at hotels carrying a bag or small suitcase containing tools to break into vending machines and steal the money inside.
He has been known to disable surveillance cameras in the area of the vending machine he targets and typically travels with one or women who drive him to the location, police say.
Gonzalez is described as being about 6 feet 1 with a muscular build, shaved head and numerous tattoos on both arms. He is known to disguise his appearance with wigs, jackets and other clothing, police say.
Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gonzalez to contact Det. Mike Leonard at 863-291-5730 or Lt. David Castle at 863-287-1957.
